Tunbridge Wells 2 Hollands & Blair 2
TUNBRIDGE WELLS’ last home game of the season against Hollands & Blair ended in an entertaining 2-2 draw.
The home side were led out by mascots from the club’s Under-10s boys and girls and there was a fundraising drive for the Rainbow Trust, a children’s charity which provides emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.
Wells were brimming with confidence after their impressive comeback from 2-0 down to draw with Beckenham Town.
Perry Spackman set up Chris Seenan to fire a first-time shot into the roof of the Blair goal on 16 minutes.
The game turned in a space of three minutes, however, Gary Lockyer -equalising and then James Macdonald giving Blair the lead.
Wells manager Jason Bourne was forced into his final substitution at the start of the second half when he lost his third defender to injury, captain Brad Potter.
The hosts had to wait until the 58th minute before levelling the scores, substitute Josh Biddlescombe meeting Rhys Bartlett’s corner with a neat finish.
For all of their dominance in the closing half-hour, Wells had to settle for a share of the points.
Wells travel to Deal Town on Saturday for their final game of the season.
