Global network ambitions for world’s oldest law firm

    TUNBRIDGE WELLS law firm Thomson Snell & Passmore is scaling up its operation after announcing it joined the largest legal referral network in the world this month.

    The firm, which will be celebrating its 450th anniversary in 2020, said the ‘strategic move’ will help boost its ability to provide access to high-level specialist legal advice and support to businesses and individuals around the world.

    By joining Nextlaw Global Referral Network [Nextlaw], Thomson Snell & Passmore will form part of an organisation which has more than 300 member firms, 19,000 lawyers and spans 160 countries.

    Other UK member firms include Brodies, Shepherd and Wedderburn, Carson McDowell and Mourant Ozannes.

    Nextlaw, was launched by global law firm Dentons with the objective of improving client service by incorporating the benefits of the best traditional legal referral networks, implemented through an innovative technological platform.

    The collaborative solution brings together hundreds of the world’s best law firms in order to provide their clients with the right lawyer in any region, practice area and sector within a single market. Although it is free to join, the organisation employs a detailed screening system to guarantee the quality of its member firms.
