Tonbridge Ladies’ football team is celebrating having secured a new local training kit sponsor.
The Foresters Arms in Quarry Hill, which was given a £25,000 revamp in March, is winning a host of new customers including the women’s soccer side.
Licensee Tyson Marshall welcomed the deal for sponsoring the team’s training jackets.
He said: “The team started coming to the pub regularly when I took over, and when they asked me about the possibility of sponsorship I was delighted to help.
“I wanted to support them as much as they have been supporting me,” he added.
After beginning as a small training session with eight women in June last year, the team has grown to more than 80 members.
They have now officially become part of Tonbridge Angels and kicked off in league football this month.
