THE annual Sixth Form Charity Fancy Dress Fun Run was held at Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys on April 25, raising more than £4,000 for charity.
Competitors took part in fun events like sack races, wheelbarrow races and three-legged races and the extravaganza culminated in the 800m fun run.
Costumes included a vicar, flamenco dancers, the Mario brothers, the 118 team, a giant raspberry, Sherlock Holmes and many more.
The event was organised by Deputy Head Student Joshua Rapley and a team of Senior Prefects.
All proceeds went to the Head Student’s charity, which this year is Demelza House, an organisation that provides hospice care for children.
Joint Head of Sixth Form Becky LeSeelleur said: “Sixth Form students at the school work hard to support their chosen charity each year, organising events such as the Fun Run, quiz nights, own clothes days, cake sales and sponsored sporting activities.
“Their efforts so far this year have raised an impressive £4,084 – with some more to come – for this amazing local charity.”
